I have been a serious sports enthusiast most of my life, which has enabled me to truly understand athletic movement and the importance of exercising properly. I participated in sports from elementary school through high school and, subsequently, at the collegiate level where I was recruited to play tennis and compete in track and field.

 

My passion has always been advising and coaching sports. To me, there is no greater thrill than watching someone flourish and attain the goals they set out to achieve or being excited and proud of doing things they never thought they could.

 

As a result of this passion, I left my job in the corporate world, and eventually, while raising two children, earned my personal trainer certification through the prestigious National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Through intense study of the human body, participating in numerous workshops, and a rigorous exam, I have gained the knowledge to design safe and effective programs using a progressive and integrated approach. I have two additional certifications through NASM: Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) which provides clients with the best evidence-based injury prevention program, as well as a Performance Enhancement/Sports Specialist (PES) which helps athletes reach their full performance potential. I am also a Certified Nutrition Coach by Precision Nutrition™, the world's leading nutrition coaching and certification business. In addition, I actively teach Yoga and am registered through the Yoga Alliance/RYT 200. Finally, I am a certified Coach of Balanced Athlete which teaches structural integration and movement efficiency.

Coaching/Training Philosophy

Every client comes to me with their own fitness and athletic background, their own experiences, their own construction, both inside and out. Rather than fight those backgrounds, I work with those experiences to create the best outcomes.

I am not a "do as I do" coach. I will meet you wherever you are at, and we will build together from there. I have worked with individuals from all walks of life: swimmers, runners, volleyball players, baseball players, softball players, football players, and those who have absolutely no experience in sports or training whatsoever. I'm not worried about where you start, what I am passionate about is the growth you will show in your fitness and mobility over time.
